Comments on last week’s menu: The Jagerschnitzel with Bacon Mushroom Gravy truly was a labor of love. It’s one of those meals that has to be baby-sat. You’re on your feet in front of the stove the entire time… there are very few moments where you find something else to do while it cooks. Also, the recipe begins with preheat oven to 350 degrees… yet you never use the oven. That was the only new recipe I tried last week. Not eager to revisit that one.
Monday — Bible study for the boys; Girl Scouts for the girls. Dinner on the run. Happy Monday.
Tuesday — I have a Girl Scout leader meeting. I’ll set up the crock pot with Easy, Flavorful Pot Roast, served with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies.
Wednesday — fast food for the kids before church; Dan and I will either eat out or use up some leftovers.
Thursday — Monte Cristo sandwiches.
Friday — We are doing a GS Cookie booth 6-9 pm. Dinner will be fast food. Ugh.
Saturday — Chicken Caesar Salad Sandwiches, unless our visiting friends want to go out.
Sunday — leftovers or snacking.
