Menu Plan Monday: April 12-18, 2010

Comments on last week’s menu: I didn’t try any new recipes last week, but I did go through most of my cooking magazines and tear out the recipes I wanted to try.  Then I bundled up what was left and passed them on to a friend.  Makes for a  lot less clutter on my kitchen counter.  Okay, a little less.  But it’s a start.

On to this week’s culinary adventures!

Monday — Girl Scout meeting.  I’m picking up pizzas for the girls.  Dan and Trevor can either forage for leftovers or go out to eat.

Tuesday Monterey Jack Turkey Burgers, oven fries, and baked beans (carried over from last week).

Wednesday — We will have a very quick dinner of soup & sandwiches.  Then it’s off to cell group, for which I volunteered to bring the edibles.  Since I just got the Pampered Chef Trifle Bowl, I’m going to christen it by making a Peanut Butter Chocolate Trifle.

Thursday — We have an appointment to schedule around this evening, so dinner will have to be early and fast.  I have half of the Tater Taco Casserole I made a few weeks ago in the freezer, so we will have that for dinner.

Friday — Movie night (or Wii game night if we can’t get a movie).  We’ll enjoy light fare for dinner.

Saturday — Making two lasagnas — one for us and one for a church family that recently welcomed a new baby.  Serving with garlic bread and Caesar salad.

Sunday — Leftovers or snacking for the fam… I’m going out with my girlfriends! 🙂
