Menu Plan Monday: March 22-28, 2010

March 22, 2010

Comments on last week’menu: The Tuna Noodle Casserole was bland.  Every tuna casserole I make is bland.  Do you have a recipe for tuna noodle casserole that actually has some flavor?  Please share if you do.  The Easy Chicken & Cheese Enchiladas were indeed easy.  I think the girls liked them more than the boys did.  My meals for Thursday and Saturday last week didn’t get made, so I’m bumping them up to this week instead.

Monday — Girl Scouts.  I’m making chicken nuggets and macaroni & cheese for the troop.

Tuesday — I won’t be home for dinner — ladies from the church are getting together for a girl’s night out.  However, I’ll fix a Tater Taco Casserole for Dan & the kids.

Wednesday — Ridiculously busy day!  We will be eating fast food in between an afternoon appointment and cell group.

Thursday –Carried over from last week, I’ll be setting up the crock pot with Priest Chicken.  Serving it with rice and broccoli.

Friday — I think they are having a movie night at Sophia’s school.  The school is providing hot dogs, which I would just about rather die than eat.  I’ll grab a bite at home before we go and let everyone else enjoy the free hot dogs.

Saturday — Another carry-over from last week, we will have Meaty black bean chili.  Serving with tortilla chips and assorted toppings.

Sunday — leftovers or snacking.

  1. The tater taco casserole sound yummy!

  2. I think the very nature of Tuna Casserole is pretty bland, thus why I’ve never been huge fan. However, you can add herbs & spices to any recipe “to taste” and bump it up. Heck throw some tabasco sauce in there. Go cajun or something. Good luck on your quest. Look forward to the next installment of “In search of…” 🙂
