Menu Plan Monday: August 17-23, 2009

August 17, 2009

Comments on last week’s menu: I only fixed one new recipe last week, the basil pesto bread, and it was soooo yummy!  I highly recommend it.  Now for this week’s meals…

Monday — I haven’t gone grocery shopping yet for this week, but I have some ground turkey in the fridge, so we will be having spaghetti.  Also fixing some garlic bread (pesto bread for me!) and having green beans for our veggie.

Tuesday — Dorito chicken (recipe courtesy of Noodle, but I also found a similar one in the most recent Paula Deen magazine publication), served with a southwestern style salad.

Wednesday — our church is hosting an end-of-VBS cookout & party, so we will have dinner there.

Thursday Crock Pot pork roast with gravy, served with mixed veggies and mashed potatoes.  (I was supposed to fix this a few weeks ago but didn’t.)

Friday — Family movie night.  We will make our own pizzas and watch one of my childhood favorites, “The Apple Dumpling Gang

Saturday —  I will be joining some friends for a mom’s night out.  Dan and the kids are on their own.  🙂

Sunday — leftovers or snacking.

  1. If you liked the pesto bread, another yummy and easy recipe (found by accident at Brand Name Italian restaurant when they ran out of the only glutten free-pasta they offered) Pesto chicken & potatoes! Grill up some chicken and cook small red potatoes then toss them with the pesto and voila…yumminess.

  2. Thanks for posting. I hope you will join me this week for Crock Pot Wednesday. Mister Linky will be up and ready for you on Tuesday. Thanks again
