Menu Plan Monday: July 20-26, 2009

July 19, 2009

Comments on last week’s menu: I tried a few new recipes last week.  The Crispy Ranch Fries were good, although not drastically different from regular fries.  They just had a nice tangy taste to them.  The chicken enchiladas were quite good, but the flavor of the salsa seemed to overpower everything else.  I think I will try making it with taco sauce next time instead since that is listed as an alternate ingredient.

Here’s what I’m cooking this week:

Monday — carrying over an unused recipe from last week, I will be fixing sour cream bacon chicken in the crockpot.  Serving with rice and broccoli.

Tuesday — spaghetti, Caesar salad, garlic bread.

Wednesday — VBS/cell group tonight.  We’ll eat out rather than try to beat the clock.  However, I offered to bring food for cell group, so I am going to fix Cherry Cola Brownies.

Thursday 40 Garlic Clove chicken in the crock pot.  Serving it with crash hot potatoes and broccoli.

Friday –Family movie night.  We’re eating finger food and watching National Velvet.

Saturday — I am going to use the leftover chicken from Thursday’s meal and some additional leftover chicken that I put in the freezer and make Chicken Carbonara.  Serving with Caesar salad.

Sunday — leftovers or snacking

  2. I second the yay for crockpot recipes. Great menu.

  3. Those potatoes look yummy. I’ve never seen anything like that before. I can’t wait to try them.
