Menu Plan Monday: March 23-29, 2009

March 23, 2009

Comments on last week’s menu: The Butter Baked Chicken & Gravy and the crock pot with Pork Roast were both fabulous!  I definitely recommend serving the butter baked chicken with white rice, as there is plenty of gravy/sauce to go with it.   The dessert I made for our cell group, Tres Leches Cake, was quite delicioso too.  All the new recipes I tried last week were winners in my book!  Yay!

Now, here’s what’s cooking this week:

Monday — oven fried chicken, rice, and broccoli

Tuesday — Girl Scouts.  I’ll be fixing spaghetti for the girls, with some set aside for Dan & Trevor.

Wednesday — We have a late afternoon appt, followed by a cell group meeting at 6:30.  Rather than try to cram a home-cooked meal in that short amount of time, we’ll eat dinner out tonight.

Thursday — I don’t have a good Shepherd’s Pie recipe, so I’m going to try this one (ambitiously dubbed “The World’s Best Shepherd’s Pie”).

Friday — Family Movie Night.  We will make our own pizzas and watch Swiss Family Robinson.

Saturday Tuna casserole… another dish for which I’m trying to find a good recipe.

Sunday — leftovers or snacking.
