Solidarity, Scrapping, and Love

February 3, 2007

Solidarity — when I went to the monthly crop last night, my friend announced that she couldn’t get out of the house quick enough to go there.  I replied with, “Me too.  Dan has been sick for over a week.”  The sympathetic groans and comments uttered by the ladies at the table told me that I am not the only one who dreads having a sick spouse.  🙂

Scrapping — I got 12 pages done!  Brought this year (what little bit of it has passed) up to date and completed 5 pages with photos from from 1996 and 1999 for Trevor’s childhood albums.   My year to date total is now 22 pages, which I think is pretty good, but still doesn’t average out to making goal if I want to do 300 pages again this year.

Love — a friend from church and her son came over for dinner this evening.  She is going through a divorce and needs support right now.  Besides, her son and Trevor went to daycare together back when they were much younger and they are friends now.  She told me that when she saw me at the daycare center back then, I always looked so sad, and that now I seem like a different person — full of life and outgoing and so happy.  I told her that back then it was before I had Dan and Jesus in my life.  How thankful I am that I have their love!
