The pollen situation here is kicking my butt. Everything is coated with a powdery yellow film that just doesn’t want to go away. It’s supposed to rain tomorrow (we got a sprinkling today), so my prayer is that it will rain long and hard enough to wash away this blasted mess and let us breathe a little easier…

Here’s a photo of the driveway. The more yellow area on the left side is where Dan’s truck is usually parked and the pollen is thicker. The circles on the right side are where a few solitary raindrops have hit it. As you can see, there is still a lot of pollen here.

The lid of our trash can is also coated in pollen:

It’s gotten to the point where I don’t want to touch, walk on, or otherwise come into contact with anything outside because I don’t want to bring any pollen into the house with me. But that, of course, is virtually impossible.

So until it rains, I will be sniffing and sneezing and hugging my bottle of Benadryl.
