Menu Plan Monday: December 17-23, 2007

Comments on last week’s menu: Well, as you can imagine for this time of year, things got a little hectic last week, and my neatly planned menu got a little jumbled up. Friday’s family movie night didn’t happen, as I’d forgotten that was a scrapbooking night for me, so we will try again this week. Chicken spaghetti on Tuesday didn’t happen either, although it seems like so long ago, I can’t even remember why.

On to this week…

Monday — parent teacher conference night at Trevor’s school. Why on earth they schedule that for 5-7 pm, I do not know. We’ll grab a bite of fast food afterward rather than try to choke down something before hand.

Tuesday — Garlic Lime Chicken (a recipe I found on someone else’s menu!), Roasted New Potato Salad, and green beans

Wednesday – tortellini with leftover Italian sausage from Saturday, caesar salad, garlic bread

Thursday – cheeseburger meat loaf, french fries, broccoli

Friday — family movie night, so we will have casual fare — chicken patty sandwiches, mac & cheese, baked beans. I think for the movie we will either watch a Little House on the Prairie Christmas episode or A Muppet Christmas Carol. Probably the latter.

Saturday – I will either go all out and have fix that 17 pound turkey I bought for Thanksgiving, along with plenty of yummy sides… or I will go light and fix soup & sandwiches. Time will tell.

Sunday — leftovers and/or snacks as we get hungry
